Hi everyone,
Just thought I would introduce myself. I will be the proud owner of a 2021 BMW RT1250 LE from this Tuesday.
Looking forward to speaking to people on the forum and getting hits and tips on my new motorbike.
Cheers
Steve

Green Mekon… hmmmm, you have to be ‘of a certain age’ to know of such things.

You’re in good company… I said I’d hang up my boots when I got to 70, I bought an RT instead!

Just to show you’re not alone, this is a post from June last year when we were talking about crash helmet fit.
As an afterthought, how did he get the T-shirt over his head?

It was Dan Dare’s arch enemy The Mekon… from naturally enough Mekonta, or Venus, depending on which Wikipedia entry takes your fancy!![]()
He first appeared in The Eagle, a kids comic, in 1950 (just before I turned one year old) and lasted until 1967. It was also serialised on Radio Luxembourg from 1951-66, though god knows why.
