Hello from Idaho

Post by Tailored »

Hey folks,

I took a hiatus from riding when my kids were young and I lived in a place with bad traffic, now they're older and I live somewhere better, so I'm getting back into riding.

I'm skating in here on a technicality. I don't yet own one, but I've got possession of a 2012 R1200RT-P. If I end up not liking the police model, I might switch to a 2008 R1200RT, as I'm looking at a pair of bikes being sold by a couple that recently went to R1600s.

Once I own one of them, I'll be seeking out one of the peg lowering kits to improve my leg ergos due to being a bit too tall for my own good. Already raised the seat, and talking to Corbin to see if they can make a taller seat. I'll probably also look into highway pegs. Not so much to sit like I'm on a cruiser, as be able to straighten out my legs for a bit when the knee bend starts to bother me.
