Hi all, this plea is a bit of a long shot.
I'm in the process of Frenchifying the above model and will have need of a complete assy but dipping to the right. An unsuccessful trawl here has shown most crashed bikes have serious front end damage so no luck there so far. The same in UK has drawn a blank. Obviously I will have a left-hand one to swap/sell so if you know of a source please pass it on, if not I would appreciate it if you can spread the word, friends, friendly bike shops who may have had a continental tourist come a cropper etc, I know how inventive this forum can be!
All efforts most welcome.
Regards, John
R1200 RT 2007 Headlight assy
Re: R1200 RT 2007 Headlight assy
No help to you but this is a true story.
Bloke got fed up getting caught on speed cameras so came up with a brilliant idea of registering his RT in France. To do this he had to have fitted a RHD headlight. No problems he thought, soon as he got back to UK he could swap them over again. When he collected the bike and asked them for his LHD light they kindly told him he wouldn't be needing it any more so they had slung it in the skip.
Being a kind type, I sold him a nice new one when he got back.

This depends on your bike's age. 2010 bike's have a height adjustment system on the dash. 2005-9 bike's don't so the unit is probably different. Check out the part numbers for the 2 models on Real OEM.

John's bike is a 2007 model, the seller's description is "BMW R1200RT 2005-2009 Headlamp unit RHD for European driving k26 model".
(If I remember correctly from my 2007 model, the white lever is for height adjustment.)
