September will be upon us at the weekend, is anyone interested/available for a day ride out from Wetherby on Saturday 2nd.
Was thinking of the North York Moors, heading to Sleights (near Whitby), via Hovingham.
Could push on to Whitby (10 minutes away) if folks insist on having fish & chips, plus a dip in the sea.
Returning through the Esk Valley, to a café on the A170 near Helmsley.
I'd "bail out" at Thirsk, which is 30 minutes from Wetherby.
The circular route from/to Wetherby would be 155 miles in a BaseCamp riding time of 4 hours (inc. Whitby), plus 3 stops.
As always, the BC route is available to anyone who would like it.

Family holiday, sorry. I don't think any amount of grovelling will get me a pass.

I will join you soon, (Birkenshaw) , however, my new to me RT has a rather worrying final drive whine, which I need to sort first!
Re: September 2017 - Northern Monkeys Meet
Will join you, hopefully soon. However a rather loud whine from final drive from my new to me 09 RT, leaves me with commuting only until sorted! Still within 3 month guarantee from sale, they have been made aware, so hopefully covered!

The forecast for tomorrow (Saturday 2nd) is looking good, all being well I'll be at Morrisons (Café) in Wetherby for a 10:30 departure.
Will confirm in the morning before 09:00, is that early enough for all other attendees.

I'll probably set off about eight thirty to give me some time for breakfast on arrival ;-)

A great time yet again!! Thanks
A couple of pics
First stop at Hovingham Bakery & Rolling Pin Cafe
and my BM with dodgy top box and tyres
A trundle through where they used to film Heartbeat
and back at Thirsk before departure
And just the Dog guarding the Hog before nipping to the shop when I got home
