Got any questions about the BMW's R1200RT/R1250RT's onboard audio, Bluetooth or the Electrical system?

Removing radio/CD player without compromising AUX input '07 Hexhead

Post by guest5690 »

Hi guys,
New RT owner here (first post!). 2007 (non servo) R1200RT.

I'm never going to listen to a CD or the radio but wanted a bit more space in the cubbyhole to store my oversized phone while its jacked into the audio in port.
I've heard removing the CD player removes the radio too, but does it compromise the other audio options like the AUX port?

Thanks!
Jack

Since the radio, CD and amplifier are all one unit, you would need to listen to music from the phone via a Bluetooth headset.
