R1200RT 2015 LC Alarm beeps - How to interpret them?

Post by Dr. Montaño »

This is probably an obvious thing, but I have been unable to find the answer:

Is there a guide somewhere to the alarm beeps and responses of the standard alarm on an R1200RT 2015 LC?

I press the alarm button once to lock the panniers.
Again and get two beeps that indicate alarm is armed.
Agaion and I get three beeps: What does that mean?

Any pointers to the pertinent information would be very welcome.

This is mostly because at times the rear lights have remaioned stuck on and drained the battery altogether, so I'm hoping to avoid such a problem in the coming end of year tour.

Many thanks for reading.

Happy hollidays.

Many thanks for the responses:

Two beeps is alarm enabled and three beeps is also alarm enabled?

I was thinking there would be a table or some time of instructions somewhere that I'm missing.

From manual,

To deactivate the motion sensor (for example if you
are about to transport the motorcycle on a train and the swaying movement of the moving train could trip the alarm),press button 1 on the remote control or the radio- operated key again during the activation phase.
Turn indicators flash three times.
Confirmation tone sounds three times (if programmed).
Motion sensor is deactivated.

Many thanks:

It had to be in the manual.

Finally found it thanks to your help.

Section 4 on my manual in Spanish. P 86-88. Meaning of every beep and flash indicated.

Thanks again.

Happy riding.
