I'm contemplating of getting some wunderlich crash bars and it states that you shouldn't fit the pannier bars if carrying a pillion.
Has anybody fitted these bars and taken pillion, is it an issue or just a health and safety back covering quote.
Thanks John

Hi John,
Please can you link to where the caution is printed. I have had a quick look and cannot find it on the German or UK website.

It tells you why in the wording. Because the bars are high, it will stop some pillions being able to put their feet on the rear pegs. The bars will impact on their calves. That is why I fitted the Illium Works rear bars, which are lower and I can confirm that I have just been away on a 500 mile trip with my 5ft 4 wife and she had no issues at all with the bars. You could always fit Wunderlich to the front and Illium on the rear.

Thanks for the reply.
I may go wunderlich at the front and Heed for the rear.
Iliums are so expensive.
