There has been comments in the past about the quality of Chinese pattern parts/accessories, but when I picked up my RT from service yesterday it transpired during conversation with the mechanic that he uses Aliexpress parts on his K1600 too…

Thanks, for £40 I think I’ll give it a go, I’m just over 90kg and I do stand up on the pegs at times to relieve backside ache  .

Hi,

As you I'm above 95 kg and during my last trip 5300 km in spain and Portugal I appreciated this kit for me and my wife ;)
About the risk, they are no welding this aluminum part is machined in the mass ;)

It's all in the name. Uneducated people think they are getting the best quality and would avoid anything with a cheap price as they think they are buying crap.
If you do your research you will find a lot of the "named" goods are made in China. With these Chinese manufacturers with their heads screwed on, sell them unbranded on auction sites at prices that are more affordable.

Are these the only passenger peg lowering kits ?, looks as if the machined out recess where the pin goes through could collect water ?.

No worries, decided not to buy the passenger lowering peg kit due to the wife’s boot contacting the back of my boots. Take that statement however you wish
