What units fit the RT. I know the BMW IV, V, VI and the Zumo 660 fit.
But are there any other units that will fit the RT.
Does the Zumo XT fit ?

You can buy an adaptor for the XT so it fits I have one for mine and it is posted on here somewhere

You can also buy bolts and fit the XT cradle in front of the existing cradle, which is what I did. There is also an aux lead that will allow you to connect the cradle to the same power socket the current Nav cradle draws power from. It is a lot easier to just buy a 3d cradle, but 4 bolts and spacers seemed the more economical route

The XT2 will not fit in the same place though

So i ended up buying a used Garmin BMW Sat-Nav 6
The one thing i will say is they are not cheap even secondhand.
I ended up paying £260 for one, which is about middle or there price range.
You have to be quick to get them when they come up around the £200 mark.

What are the main differences between BMW Motorrad navigation V & VI ????

It's pretty simple!

They are both crap and the XT is miles better

I belive the main difference is that the screen is miles better on the VI

Well i did'nt need it, but i've just bought a Nav V (5) for £145.
It's could be worth having if my Nav 6 starts playing up.
Can keep it in the top box as a back up.

Is it me, or does the Nav5 touch screen respond better when you press the screen than the Nav6 does.
I have found that the 5 only needs a light tounch to make the on screen buttons work.
Where the 6 needs a firm or sharp bit of pressure to work.
I'm starting to think I might use the 5 and use the 6 as a spare.

No the touch screen on the Nav VI is rubbish. They also go wrong a lot, you end up with the screen changing without touching it, it's known as ghosting. Garmin have tried to repair several times and released different updated versions, I had two brand new units go wrong. Now Garmin have just started releasing yet another Nav VI updated, hopefully they have now finally fixed the issue.

Up until a couple of years ago, if your unit was out of warranty, Garmin would replace if you paid them £250 for the privilege and only then supplied a 90 day warranty, those units went wrong as well. I think Garmin have now finally relented and if your Nav VI goes wrong, they will replace, but as I don't own one anymore I don't know.
