Re: R1250RT Clutch Engagement Spot

I ended up getting some ASV levers. (Right from ASV - which was great because you can pick whatever color you want for the levers and adjustment knobs) They certainly allow plenty of adjustment. Seems like the cheapest of the good quality levers. Of note when I got the levers they were the same part...

What do you consider lugging the engine?

I generally like to keep the RPMs low when cruising around, in between 2000 and 3000 rpms.
Where do you feel lugging the engine is, under 3000? under 2000?

Re: 2022 R1250RT Accessory Socket never turns off?

That's the strange part, I have the gps running to the battery and it's switched power wire running to accessory socket, but it still stays on. It must be drawing to much from switched power...

2022 R1250RT Accessory Socket never turns off?

I hooked my aftermarket GPS unit to the accessory socket on the right side fairing, Only to find out it never turns off. (Or at least it didn't in the 45 minutes I waited) Is this some running change for 2022 and up where it stay active all the time? I'll need to track down another switched source.....

Can you not have the TFT Nav connect automatically?

I have fitted a Chigee Nav unit. Is there a way to disable to auto connecting of the BMW app to the TFT Nav on bike start?
I know I can unpair the bike from the BMW connected app, but then I lose all of the other functions in the app as well.

I don't really have any need for the TFT Nav anymore...

Re: R1250RT Clutch Engagement Spot

Anyone have any experience with anything a little cheaper? While I do like Wunderlich, close to 400 a pair seems excessive. I'm also not a fan of the adjustable length mechanism, I'd prefer they be solid pieces. If it's the only quality option out there I'll bite the bullet. Just seems a bit extrava...

R1250RT Clutch Engagement Spot

Hello all, I am guessing this is probably my first bike with a hydraulic clutch but the engagement spot is too far out for my liking... I'll had many bikes to compare with and this one seems to be at the very end of the clutch lever. My hands are almost fully open. For more precise control I'd like ...

GPS mount bar above TFT

Just wondering if anyone has found some sort of bar mount for GPS that goes above the main TFT on a 2021+ RT. I found this one... https://www.wunderlichamerica.com/bmw-r1250rt-navigtion-holder While the price seems quite high I'm not really a fan of a stick-on mount, I'd prefer something that bolts ...

Cell phone cubby removal (2022)

Hello all, Just picked up a 2022. My cell phone is a tiny bit too long to fit in the cell phone cubby, but if I can remove that sliding lock mechanism I think it should fit fine. Anyone ever remove this cubby before? I want to dissemble it to remove the spring/lock mechanism and reinstall it. There'...
