Re: Right hand radiator
Have a look on realoem. you will then be able to compare part numbers. If they are the same then bingo!

Re: Exhaust header studs snapped!
Update. I have now managed to remove what was left of the nuts and studs with a nut removing spiral socket. I wish I'd known about these before I started the job as I have caused a bit of damage to one of the stud holes by trying to drill it out. I fear the head may need to come of to go to a engine...

Re: Exhaust header studs snapped!
Hi David, there is a little bit of stud projecting on two of them. whether it is enough to weld a nut on I don't know. Plus I don't have any welding equipment or knowledge of. Unfortunately the bike is not able to be ridden on the road so I cannot take the bike anywhere.

Exhaust header studs snapped!
Help needed! Due to an injury I am currently unable to ride so I have spent my time fettling my bike, a 2016 RT. All was going well until I decided to fit the Black Widow stainless headers which had been lurking in my shed since 2020! Despite frequent applications of WD40 to the header nuts in the w...

Re: BMW com U1 pairing help needed
Just had a thought...the R1200RT sends Nav 6 instructions through the loudspeakers when in non bluetooth mode so obviously the bike and nav 6 are connecting somewhere in the bike. So I wonder if they are connected in bluetooth mode also? This would mean I may not have to pair helmet to Nav 6. I wond...

BMW com U1 pairing help needed
I have finally taken the plunge and bought a BMW com U1 headset so I can 'retire' my Autocom SPA. I am having a little difficulty in finding the correct pairing order. It has four channels: Phone. Phone 2, GPS and Media. I am not 100% sure how I should pair it. Technology is not my strong point so p...

Re: Pairing order help needed.
Hello Rossyuk39. Thanks for your input. I have recently changed my phone. (I got shot of the Huawei and replaced it with a Motorola) and I have replaced my Nav V with Nav VI. I haven't yet had the chance to pair them all up yet but fingers crossed!

Anyone fancy a tour?
Hello Guys. I have organised a tour for myself and some of my buddies that I have toured with for the past 2 years. Unfortunately after booking the hotels it transpires that two chaps can't make it this year. This leaves a twin bedded room available if any one wants to take their place. Brief detail...

Re: driveshaft failure?
Bike had just over 35600 miles on clock. Dealer serviced from new. The splines had worn off the driveshaft and also damaged the final drive so that was replaced too. Thank goodness for the BMW warranty!

driveshaft failure?
Last Saturday I was unfortunate enough to suffer a breakdown, or to be more precise my bike did! (2016 RT.) I have the extended warranty and after a couple of phone calls and texts my bike was swiftly recovered and I was put in a taxi to take me home. Excellent service from BMW warranty and breakdow...

Re: Panel removal help
I'm pretty certain it just pulls off. It is held on by three 'dog's dicks' that slot into rubber mounts/grommets. Be careful when refitting particularly the top one which can, if you're not careful, break the lug on the painted panel. Don't ask me how I know!

Black Widow exhaust
Hi all, my exhaust headers on my 2016 RT are starting to show their age with rust spots that will not polish out. I am considering replacing them with some stainless steel ones made by Black Widow. Has anybody done this and if so how do they measure up for quality , keeping them clean etc. Also I wo...

Re: Oil Smell
I too had an oily smell on my old 2005 RT which I finally traced to a worn/ill fitting O ring on the oil filler cap. New O ring fitted-no more smell!

BMW Navigator V speed alerts.
I wonder if anyone can help with this problem I have with the speed alerts and speed camera proximity warning sounds from the BMW Navigator V. When I used to creep over the speed limit the Nav V would sound a warning and at the same time lower the music from the factory fitted radio by approx 50%. I...
